Why Director Access?
We considered transitioning to electronic Board and Committee packages for some time and had researched nearly all of the leading providers. After seeing demonstrations of other products, our Directors liked the clean appearance, ease of use, and available features of Director Access. The iPad app and annotation features were very important to us as well.
The training process was minimal; our entire Board and senior management team began using the electronic packages within a few weeks. We've since transitioned several management committees to Director Access and this process has significantly reduced the time, resources, and costs associated with paper packages. It also provides greater flexibility for delivering information as it becomes available, regardless of a Director's physical location, and documents can be updated as needed even minutes before a meeting begins. Our Board and management use their iPads, laptops, or desktop computers to access the materials depending upon which is most convenient at any point in time.
This product also provides far greater security than printed documents. We do not have to worry about transporting paper copies outside of the Bank, coordinating with the Directors so they are present upon delivery, or arranging for the copies to be destroyed following the meetings, especially for those who attend off-site.
The 24/7 support from Director Access has been incredible and everyone we've worked with has provided us with outstanding customer service. Having a dedicated service representative, Omeida Acevedo, has added to our positive experience as she knows our bank's needs and works closely with us to ensure that we have the best service possible.
With a branch in Key West and a handful of employees, Key West State Bank began serving the banking needs of the Florida Keys community in 1955. As the Keys community grew, so did the Bank, steadily adding more services and branches. And although the name has since changed to First State Bank of the Florida Keys, the values that founded this bank remain unchanged – a locally owned institution operated for the benefit of the people of Monroe County.
Today over 50 years later, First State Bank continues to thrive and expand our line-up of products, services and delivery systems. We boast 11 offices from Key West to Key Largo, more than any other financial institution in Monroe County including the only bank in Stock Island as well as an office located inside the Key West Winn Dixie Supermarket. We have more ATM locations (24), more drive-thru lanes (17) and more operating hours each week (71) than any other bank too, which means greater convenience for our customers. And although we may be the oldest bank in Monroe County, our technology is state-of-the-art.
